Theatre
The Soltice Sisters are known not only for their lovely
three part harmonies, but also for their spontaneous and energetic
live shows. Fool's Gold of Dahlonega mines Appalachian traditional
songs, bluegrass, new acoustic, rock, country, jazz, blues,
and hillbilly swing to create an evening of original music
and unique interpretations of familiar tunes. Curtis and Holly
Jones have performed internationally in bluegrass bands. For

Harris College
Mars is undoubtedly one of the most interesting planets
in our solar system. From H.G. Wells and the possibility of
Martian life to the recent adventures of the Spirit and Opportunity
rovers on the planet’s surface, people have long been fascinated
by the Red Planet. This show provides a brief historical overview
of Mars, then brings audiences up to date with the latest
news highlights and status of missions to explore Mars. (presented
January 11, 18 & 25, and February 15, 22 & 29) The Rollins
Planetarium is open to the public. There is no admission charge.
The shows start promptly at 8 PM. Seating begins 10 minutes
before showtime. Latecomers are not allowed entrance, so plan
to arrive a little early to get the best seats. If weather
permits the observatory will be open after the planetarium

Falconry Experience

Teacher/Coach Buster Brown will give a presentation about
the sport/art of falconry and then take participants to the
woods to see his red-tailed hawk hunt squirrels. Register

Dulcimer Making Workshop

Assemble, sand and finish an all-wood Appalachian dulcimer
with dulcimer maker and musician Bob Thomason. All tools and
